This quartet is so amazing on so many different levels...go see 'em whilst they still exist in PDX. I really think this one could go a long way in the Jazz world!

He is a uniquely talented performer and educator, and a man in whom I trust and for whom I hold great admiration.

I used him almost exclusively in my band when he used to reside in the NYC area, as he always brought so much knowledge and artistry to the music. And combined with his multi-instrumentalist abilities, Chris Brown is a unique talent that's not often found.

JOIN PJCE AT WILF’S FOR HAPPY HOUR JAZZ ON THURSDAY NIGHTS

There has been a real concerted effort on the part of a few key organizations here in Portland to help raise the profile of this music we call Jazz; and to the point that it can once again occupy a space within the normal discourse of society. And one such org is the Portland Jazz Composers Ensemble (PJCE). And one of the areas that they’re looking to activate is the area in around our train station, as it’s one of the oldest and most significant landmarks we have. So I want you to enjoy this performance as well as show your support for this worthwhile mission of helping to make Portland the thriving hub of creativity and prosperity here in the NW that it once was.

Pre-purchase your tickets and meet us under the clock tower at Union Station for a fun happy hour hang.
