Brown has gained a stellar reputation as one of the bright new talents on the scene, working with a who's who of Jazz artist.

This quartet is so amazing on so many different levels...go see 'em whilst they still exist in PDX. I really think this one could go a long way in the Jazz world!

He is a uniquely talented performer and educator, and a man in whom I trust and for whom I hold great admiration.

I used him almost exclusively in my band when he used to reside in the NYC area, as he always brought so much knowledge and artistry to the music. And combined with his multi-instrumentalist abilities, Chris Brown is a unique talent that's not often found.

Christopher Brown Quartet

  • The 1905 830 North Shaver Street Portland, OR, 97227 United States (map)

When it comes to Jazz in Portland, the month of February is the real start of the year, as the PDX Jazz Festival always does a great job of creating a wave of momentum for the year. So what this means for The 1905 is that many of the traveling national and international acts will be moving about all over this city. And if there’s one thing that all traveling musicians like to do, is find the hottest spot in town to drop in at. And with this club being the ONLY true Jazz club in town, you can bet that that they’ll end up here after their shows. So you’ll want to be a fly on the wall when they do because you’ll never know what might happen when they do show up! Especially on one of my Wednesday nights!!
