This quartet is so amazing on so many different levels...go see 'em whilst they still exist in PDX. I really think this one could go a long way in the Jazz world!

He is a uniquely talented performer and educator, and a man in whom I trust and for whom I hold great admiration.

I used him almost exclusively in my band when he used to reside in the NYC area, as he always brought so much knowledge and artistry to the music. And combined with his multi-instrumentalist abilities, Chris Brown is a unique talent that's not often found.

Christopher Brown Quartet @ Mt. Hood Jazz Festival *Jam Session*

  • Barley Sprout 112 North Main Avenue Gresham, OR, 97030 United States (map)

As is tradition with so many Jazz festivals, the jam session format is where the true culture of Jazz is plays out between musicians and between the audience. But like all pseudo free form situations like this, there’s usually someone who helps to keep things organized and running smoothly. And in the case, it’ll be me and my guys who will help to kick off the night as the house band for the night.

So whether you’re a musician who’s looking to play, or simply a fan of the music who wants to listen and be part of the scene, then we encourage you to come have a great time with us!
