This quartet is so amazing on so many different levels...go see 'em whilst they still exist in PDX. I really think this one could go a long way in the Jazz world!

I used him almost exclusively in my band when he used to reside in the NYC area, as he always brought so much knowledge and artistry to the music. And combined with his multi-instrumentalist abilities, Chris Brown is a unique talent that's not often found.

The John Nastos Quartet

  • The 1905 830 North Shaver Street Portland, OR, 97227 United States (map)

At the ripe young age of 35, John Nastos has already proven himself to be one of the most important instrumentalist in Oregon, let alone the Pacific NW in general. The degree to which he has already left an indelible mark on the Portland music scene between his instrumental prowess, performance resume, instructional books that he has published, musical apps that he has created, and leadership responsibilities that he has taken on with the Local 99 Musicians Union is rather jaw dropping to say the least. So if you have yet to experience John in action, I’d highly encourage you to do so, as it’ll be one of the most inspiring displays of what excellence in motion can look like.
