"Find Your Voice" Jazz Workshop & Concert @ PSU & The Old Church

Playing jazz music is about more than technique, vocabulary and theory. But how do you put your own individual stamp on the music? How do you find your own voice? As a part of Portland State University's Scholarship Audition Weekend, the PSU Jazz area presents a free workshop and concert that explores these timely questions. 

Workshop
Led by PSU faculty members Darrell Grant, Alan Jones & Jeff Baker, and myself, we'll talk about which specific tools and ideas we approach our music with in order to create a personalized sound.

Concert
This concert will feature my "80's" Quartet, The Bridge Quartet with Darrell Grant, Alan Jones, Tom Wakeling & Devin Phillips, &vocalist's Jeff Baker's Sextet. 
The Old Church 1422 Southwest 11th Avenue. 3:00-5:00 PM
